This is G-ULAB, one of the Robinson R22 helicopters that my ex boss flies.
It is two seater (as long as you are good friends!!)
He also flies a Cessna 172 from a disused second world war airfield in Ashbourne. Most of the airfield has been destroyed and is now an industrial estate but there is still enough runway left to get a light aircraft up and down.
This is a view of the runway. You can just make out a slightly cleaner strip down the left hand side which is where you have to land. It is just wide enough for the aircraft so I found it very difficult to get the thing down in such a small space. Now if I had the whole thing to aim at I might have done it!
